Solution applied.

FortiGate 2000E Firmware version : v6.0.2 build0163 (GA)

Forti Client Version                                       : 6.0.4

Problem:

Internet not working. Network administrator observed that fortigate system events “The NTP daemon step adjusted time from thu February” by system user ntp_daemon.

Cause:

NTP server time not sync with fortigate unit.

NTP server connectivity not reachable.

Time not sync with the Fortiguard NTP server.

Solution :

• Check the connectivity of NTP server
• Do sync NTP server manually
• Confgure NTP server by CLI :-
  • config system ntp
       set ntpsync enable
       set syncinterval 60
       set source-ip 10.10.30.1
       config ntpserver
          edit 1
             set ntpv3 enable
             set authentication enable
             set key netsecaddict
             set key-id 234
             set server 10.10.30.1
          next
       end
